The Tropical island of Phuket is served by many international airlines. Thai Airways and Singapore Airlines offer non-stop flights to Bangkok and Singapore from many cities in Europe and North America. From there it is an easy 1 hour flight to Phuket. Nai Harn is within easy reach of Patong Beach and Phuket International Airport . The SANDS Resort is situated 150metres from Nai Harn beach on Phuket's south coast. New shops and restaurants replacing those that were destroyed by the Tsunami are now established. The lagoon and island have been landscaped by the local government and is a place of natural beauty. The resort has a large but quiet Swimming Pool that offers free WiFi internet access. Nai Harn Beach is the most beautiful in all of Phuket. Its location on the western side of the island affords it great swimming in warm tropical waters and stunning sunsets that will take your breath away. Nai Harn Beach is a national park and also owned by a Buddhist Temple so it it not over developed like so many other beaches in Phuket. Instead it is a serene community that has about 15 restaurants, 10 shops including a mini-mart, 24 hour ATM and 2 custom tailors for men's and women's suites and even a few bars. Restaurants include traditional Thai, Seafood, Italian, German and even a French Bakery and Mexican Restaurant. There is also a Pharmacy within walking distance. Nai Harn also has a 5 star resort; Le Royal Meridian Phuket Yacht Club where you can get a luxurious massage at its spa for far less then you would pay at home or listen to live entertainment nightly all for the cost of a cocktail. Our favourite afternoon and early evening bar is Kok Chang near the Kata View Point. Here you will soon get to know the elephants, gibbons and other animals by their names. The elephant trekking takes you to a spectacular view of both East and West coasts. The warm welcome here is not to be forgotten. All the splendours of Phuket are within easy reach.
